Interview: Alfred Lange

Alfred Lange (1941) Extraordinary Professor Relationship and Family Therapy from a system theoretical perspective at the University of Amsterdam.

Alfred Lange studied experimental social psychology at the University of Amsterdam. After his promotion, he worked in the field of clinical psychology. He combined practice and research in directive behavioral therapy and family therapy. In the nineties, he designed online therapy for PTSD, complicated mourning, work-related stress, depression, anxiety disorder and, eating disorder. His inaugural speech in 1994 was titled: The pillarisation of the psychotherapy: about the necessity to integrate systemic therapies and individual therapy forms.
