Abraham Pieter (Bram) Buunk is an emeritus professor of Evolutionary Social Psychology at the University of Groningen. He is an Acadamy professor on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Acadamy of Sciences (KNAW). From 2013-2017 he was a professor at the University of Curacao and he was a visiting professor at Universidad Católica del Uruguay. His expertise is applied psychology, intimate relationships, jealousy, social comparison processes, reciprocity in interpersonal relationships, stress and burnout, coping with cancer, evolutionary biological foundations of human behavior, hormones, and behavior.
